About

Hailing from New Mills, New Brunswick and now based in Halifax, Lisa Richard is a commanding presence in the folk-country scene with a voice that turns heads and a story that touches hearts. Described as “a soulful Anne Murray” (Devon O’Day) and likened to Cher, Wynonna Judd, and Tracy Chapman, Lisa brings powerful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and a fiery stage presence to every performance.
She’s shared stages with country royalty like Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers, with a standout performance of “Jolene”in Nashville that’s been viewed over 140,000 times. From local venues like The Carleton to international festivals like NewSkool Rules (Netherlands) and Your Roots Are Showing (Ireland), Lisa’s reach continues to grow.
Her genre-blending sound—fusing country, folk, rock, and pop—has captivated audiences across North America and Europe. Lisa’s latest single, “Whiskey Over Me,” delivers an empowering twist on heartbreak with Celtic flair and country-rock grit, while her moving cover of Gordon Lightfoot’s “If You Could Read My Mind” earned a standing ovation at the Stan Rogers Folk Festival.
Lisa’s deeply personal track “Uniforms (Promises Kept)”—inspired by surviving a near-fatal accident—honors everyday heroes and was featured on SiriusXM CBC Country and Nashville’s WSM Grand Ole Opry radio. The song earned multiple accolades, including airplay, nominations, and a Music Nova Scotia nod for Country Recording of the Year.
With performances at the East Coast Music Awards, Canadian Country Music Awards, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, and appearances on Sullivan’s Crossing and Hallmark’s Christmas Island, Lisa Richard continues to carve out a dynamic path as one of Canada’s most compelling singer-songwriters.
Opening in the show is Dawson Murphy. Doors open at 6:30pm.
