About

Experience an unforgettable night of sibling harmonies and East Coast soul, Hearts of Kin & Band with special guests, and Tide & Timbre.

It was a few summers back when the musical paths of Hearts of Kin and Tide & Timbre, intersected in the most serendipitous way.
Both bands had been carving out their niches in the East Coast music scene from opposite ends of Nova Scotia, until fate decided it was time for them to meet.
A series of music festivals that year saw both bands coincidentally performing on many of the same stages. From the moment they met at Cavendish Beach Music Festival, it was as if they were looking into a musical mirror. One week after Cavendish, both the sisters and brothers played at Kempt Shore Music Festival, where they realized they shared more than just a striking resemblance; their passion for country music and the uncanny synchronicity of their meeting convinced them that they were destined to be collaborators and friends.
Both bands released their debut albums in the same year, opened for each other’s sold out album release shows, and both were nominated for Music Nova Scotia’s Country Recording of the Year, 2024.
Their latest adventure brought them to the rocky shores of Newfoundland, to St. John’s to perform showcases at the ECMA’s.
To this day, the bands continue to perform together whenever their paths cross, celebrating the magic of that summer when a string of luck brought them together. Their story is a testament to the power of music and the serendipity of life, proving that sometimes, the universe has its own plans for us all.
