Visitor Centres & Travel Assistance

Looking for directions to a hidden waterfall or the closest spot for fresh seafood? Wondering where to catch live music or sip something local on tap? You’re in the right place. From scenic drives to spontaneous detours, we’re here to help you make the most of your journey.

Our Visitor Information Centres are staffed by friendly locals who know the Island inside and out—and they’re always happy to share a few tips. With your map in hand and a warm Cape Breton welcome at every turn, don’t be surprised if your visit starts with a question and ends with an invitation to supper.

With ten Visitor Information Centres located across Cape Breton Island, visitors are never far from trusted local advice. Whether you're searching for scenic routes, cultural experiences, accommodations, or dining recommendations, trained staff are ready to assist with up-to-date information and friendly service.

For those looking to explore the Island’s natural wonders more deeply, Parks Canada offers interpretive services at the entrances to Cape Breton Highlands National Park in both Ingonish and Chéticamp.

From ports to parks, coastlines to communities, Cape Breton’s Visitor Information Centres are here to help you uncover the very best the Island has to offer.
