About
Ed Woodsworth’s music career began with award-winning, chart-topping Cape Breton group Realworld who had several releases on local and national radio stations, toured in the Maritimes, Ontario and Quebec, and appeared on a variety of television shows. The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist would go on to study Jazz at St. F.X. University, tour the world with top East Coast performers Ashley MacIsaac’s Kitchen Devils, Gordie Sampson, and Jimmy Rankin, lead his own jazz trio, and give private music lessons in guitar, bass, pedal steel and voice. Ed has worked as a band leader for television and stage productions, been recognized for his work as a producer, and was the recipient of the Musician’s Achievement award from the East Coast Music Association (2016). As a solo performer, Ed plays guitar and covers of many of the artists he toured and played bass with over the years.
