About

The Strait of Canso Yacht Club was established in 1964. As a member-run facility, the club depends on its members to donate their time and talents to keep the docks in good repair, maintain the clubhouse and even water the flowers. Our members each take about four days throughout the summer months to work a 12 hour shift at the marina. So if you are visiting us, you’ll be greeted by a friendly fellow boater and volunteer SCYC member. The beautiful Club House is equipped with two computers, W-Fi, comfortable sitting areas, clean washrooms, showers and coin laundry facilities. The kitchen has fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, dishes, utensils, etc. The Club House is licensed with a full bar. The Club House is a beautiful spot for group functions. Please contact us for current rates.Stretch your legs by taking a stroll on the boardwalk along the waterfront. The SCYC is within walking distance (or a very short drive) to banks, grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and liquor store.
