About

Our Harbourview Motel and Accommodations features a provincially recognized historical home built in 1880 by Captain Embree and family.

The property is located right beside the active wharf with boats and ships sailing in and out, next to the yacht club/marina, boardwalk, and Granville Green which offers free outdoor concerts on Sunday evenings in July and August.
This is a great home base for your Cape Breton vacation featuring the legendary Cabot Trail, Fortress of Louisbourg, Alexander Graham Bell Museum & other attractions.

The heritage inn accommodations include 3 guest rooms:

  • “King Room with Sea View” offers a spectacular view of the waterfront facing the Canso Causeway;
  • “Standard King Room” faces Granville Street. Approximately 300 sq. ft. each, both rooms are situated on the second floor and are equipped with air conditioning and individual thermostat for heating, satellite TV, high-speed wi-fi, mini fridge, microwave, and a private ensuite washroom with full-size shower and original antique claw-foot bathtub.
  • Conveniently located on the first floor, the “Economy Double Room” is smaller in size (approximately 160 sq. ft.), with a queen-size bed, private ensuite washroom with a stand-up shower,  air conditioning, satellite TV and wi-fi. The guests in this room have access to the microwave and fridge in the house kitchen.

Our six ground level standard king motel accommodations, approximately 225 sq. ft. each, are equipped with king-size bed, furnished private deck, high-speed wi-fi, satellite TV, mini fridge and microwave, and ensuite washroom.

All rooms are non-smoking. Free off-street parking is available to all guests. Call us for pet-friendly availability.
