This week’s musical guest: Mae Rivers
Born In Edmonton, now rooted in Nova Scotia, Mae Rivers is an indie singer-songwriter who features a warm tone of voice and an R&B type style that you’ll be sure to enjoy.
Even though Mae feels that her style is still evolving, she has always loved Neil Young, The Black Keys, Mt. Joy, and Jim Croce, citing them as major influences on the way she tells stories. She crafts music that she hopes speaks to the heart – songs that her listeners may relate to in some way. Mae incorporates themes of love, loss, longing and resilience, often accompanied by an R&B or acoustic sound.
