Red Farm is excited to welcome Medium Swing for some Wednesday Night Grooves!
Medium Swing is a fresh new jazz band bringing smooth, soulful sounds to the Sydney–Cape Breton area. Blending timeless standards with a relaxed, contemporary groove, the group has quickly become a welcome addition to the local music scene. Fronted by the warm, expressive vocals of Debi Sullivan, the band is anchored by a rich, layered sound from guitarist Yunfei Han, giving the band its distinctive texture. Holding down the low end with a steady, melodic groove is bassist Bhreagh LaFitte, rounding out a tight, dynamic ensemble.
Joining on the drums at the Red Farm on Aug. 12 is special guest Ron Leadbetter! Whether interpreting jazz classics or finding their own laid-back swing, Medium Swing delivers performances that are intimate, elegant, and effortlessly cool — perfect for an evening of great music.
