18in18 Signature Events
DCBA’s 18in18 Signature Events Program provides marketing support on regional, national, and international platforms for eligible major events taking place on Cape Breton Island. These major events will align with the unique creative spirit of Cape Breton Island and foster growth in the key areas of sporting, active living, arts, music, and culture. The 18in18 Signature Events Program will provide marketing support for eligible events via inclusion in DCBA efforts to market and promote Cape Breton Island as a tourism destination. This will include a listing on the Experience Guide and cbisland.com, highlighting event title, date, location, and other distinguishable information.
Saltscapes Expo 2018
Saltscapes Expo 2018 is just around the corner. This year’s show runs April 20-22 at a new location – 350 Horseshoe Lake Drive, Halifax. The new spot is open concept, bright and clean and offers better opportunities to design a show with more effective traffic flow, so every exhibitor will be exposed to as many people as possible. Also new this year is the partnership model between DCBA and Industry Partners. This year, DCBA is offering a 50/50 co-promotion regarding the cost of the space within a Cape Breton Island destination presence. The cost for participating partners is $800 plus taxes for the booth space. This is an $800 saving, as a 10×10 booth is $1,600 plus tax and expenses.
This year, the Cape Breton Island space will be taking an experiential approach versus a retail approach. Set up, signage, schedules, etc. will be similar to last year. As details are finalized and Industry participation is confirmed, we will send out more details. Please note that the Expo has a dedicated retail section for those that wish only to sell.
Space is limited, so please confirm by Friday, February 23 at 4:00 pm. Any space that is not confirmed by partners by February 23 will be released back to Saltscapes Expo. If you wish to participate in this co-promotion or have any questions, please contact:
