The ICCA is pleased to present Polyglots, a solo exhibition by Canadian multidisciplinary artist Enora Sanschagrin, showcasing a vivid and reflective series of oil pastel works created between 2019 and 2025.
Guided by the spirit of Auguste Rodin’s words — “My single idea is that of colour and effect… It has been since the beginning and will be until the end, simply and exclusively an affair of personal pleasure” — Sanschagrin approaches her practice with a focus on intuition, movement, and the expressive qualities of form and composition.
Polyglots brings together images of people engaged in everyday moments — eating, dancing, reading, holding babies, and resting in the sun. These scenes are rendered with bold colour and a spontaneous hand, offering viewers glimpses into quiet and universal acts of daily life.
Sanschagrin was born in Montreal and received her Bachelor in Studio Arts from Concordia University in 2016. She currently lives and works in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Polyglots is on display May 18-June 15.
