All dressed up with snow-where to go? Bring your friends along for a sleigh…er slay ride to “Jingle Bell Rock” with Canadian Alt hip-hop legend, K-OS and East Coast rising star, Andre Pettipas. Although this is a show based around the holidays, the music will not be (maybe one or two songs for fun.)
K-OS’ inventive sound has been classified as “alternative hip hop,” and draws influence from rock, pop, soul, jazz, reggae, R&B, and electronic music. He writes his own material and his albums are largely self-produced. K-OS is full-steam ahead with the recent re-release “Joyful Rebel Lion+” celebrates the 20th anniversary of his breakthrough album, Joyful Rebellion (2004) that include the hits such as “Crabbuckit”, “Man I Used To Be”, “B-Boy Stance” and “EMCEE Murdah.” With multiple JUNOS and a Grammy nomination under his belt, K-OS has been an important part of the Canadian music scene for decades.
Andre Pettipas is best known as the frontman for Andre Pettipas and The Giants. Andre has performed over 150 shows in 2024 across Canada; this is in large part due to his versatility and love for entertaining. Andre has accumulated multiple ECMA nominations with the Giants, who have been establishing themselves as one of the top live outfits from the East Coast. Andre also spearheads the festival, “Giantstock” which takes place annually in Merigomish, Nova Scotia.
