Waterfall Season returns to Cape Breton Island!

Come late November, when parts of Canada begin to be blanketed with snow, Cape Breton wonders if Mother Nature has forgotten her. Not a chance. Winter on Cape Breton Island is inevitable.

Glace Bay is a town rich in culture, history and, oddly enough, wildlife. If you're a history buff, wildlife watcher or want to spend an evening out for dinner and a show then you need to spend a day in the Bay.

The Island Wide Waterfall Weekend is a weekend to get up and get outside. Cape Breton Island will be bustling this weekend as visitors and residents are encouraged to join us as we travel to 12 different waterfalls across the Island!

No matter where you go on Cape Breton Island, you’ll find magical places to explore, guaranteed to be bursting with artisan studios and galleries around every corner.

A lot of people don’t think of Glace Bay as a tourist destination, but with the history, the views along this coast, and the kind and friendly people, they are missing out.

Cape Breton Island Ambassador Ashley George was selected by Explore Canada as an official ambassador for her home province of Nova Scotia.
