The name “The Baddeck Gathering” Ceilidh came from a popular fiddle tune of the same name that was recorded by many Cape Breton musicians including the late Charlie MacCuspic to whose memory the Baddeck Gathering Ceilidh is dedicated. Gillian Head is a fiddler with a sound that exemplifies the spirit and drive of traditional Cape Breton music. With a style all his own, and an unparalleled intensity on the keyboard, Jason Roach is one of the most impressive piano players you will ever hear. Together they’ll keep your toes tapping all night. Tickets on sale at the door between 5 and 7pm. Admission includes tea and locally baked oatcakes. Cash only. Reservations recommended.
