About
Baddeck native Rachel Davis grew up immersed in Cape Breton’s traditional music and began learning fiddle from her grandfather, Clarence Long. Her self-titled debut album earned a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination, and her music has since taken her to stages across Canada and around the world. Jason Roach of Chéticamp is one of Cape Breton’s accomplished traditional musicians and a longtime collaborator with Rachel. Together they are members of the award-winning Cape Breton group Còig, where their musical partnership has been shaped through years of performing, recording and touring together. Rachel and Jason bring that connection home to Mabou for Friday night at the Red Shoe. Friday, September 11 | 7:30–10:30 PM$12 CoverNo Reservations
