About
KitchenFest! wraps up a big week of music with a grand day out on the fields of Glendale! And what a special day it will be, as the people of Glendale celebrate over 50 years of great traditional concerts since that pivotal 1973 concert featuring 100 fiddlers and the start of the CB Fiddlers Association. In collaboration with community, this annual tradition continues and will feature some of the area’s favourites and finest including The Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association, Evans and Doherty, Howie MacDonald, Mary Jane Lamond, Shelly Campbell, Allan Dewar, Claire Sampson MacDonald and the Glendale Step Dancers, Brian MacDonald, Glenn Graham, Andrea Beaton, Rodney MacDonald, Doug Lamey, The Lamey Family, Harvey Beaton, Johnny MacDonald, Patrick Gillis, Stephanie MacDonald, John Pellerin, Bill Pellerin, Kinnon Beaton, Betty Beaton, Edna MacDonald, Roddie MacInnis, Cheryl MacQuarrie, Sarah Ann Hajjar, Gordon MacLean, and Colin MacDonald. The master of ceremonies will be Bob MacEachern. Bring a chair (there are no longer benches on the field), some pals, and gear up for a day out on this historic grounds. Square dance in parish hall to follow that evening.
