Jon Dore to Perform at Daniel’s Alehouse April 17 & 18
Sydney, NS — March 10, 2026 — Award-winning Canadian comedian Jon Dore will bring his sharp wit and unpredictable stand-up to Daniel’s Alehouse in Sydney, Nova Scotia for two nights only — April 17 and 18.
Winner of the 2023 Juno Award for Best Comedy Album, Dore is a favourite on the comedy club and festival circuit across Canada and the United States. He has enjoyed sold-out runs at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, along with major appearances at festivals in Halifax, Winnipeg, Portland, and the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
Dore’s television credits include a guest-starring role on the Emmy Award–winning CBS hit series How I Met Your Mother, a lead role on ABC’s How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life), and current starring roles in The Lake and Small Achievable Goals. He has made multiple guest appearances on Conan, Baroness von Sketch Show, @midnight, Inside Amy Schumer, and Hart of Dixie.
His film credits include Corpse Tub and indie features such as Gus, Stag, Teen Lust, and The Pickle Recipe. Dore hosted four seasons of HBO Canada’s Funny as Hell, starred in his award-winning mockumentary series The Jon Dore Television Show on IFC and The Comedy Network, and headlined stand-up specials including Comedy Central Presents… Jon Dore, Big Questions Huge Answers, Live at Gotham, The Bonnaroo Experience, and Mash Up.
Currently, he can be seen as the regular “Pete” on CBC’s Small Achievable Goals.
