About
Make the Hearthstone Inn Sydney your home base. Located on the harbour front minutes from historic downtown and the Sydney boardwalk. Free local daily newspapers are included. All rooms have fridges, coffee makers and microwaves and there is a pool and guest laundry on site.
This property was the first hotel in Nova Scotia with themed rooms including the Fortress of Louisbourg room, Alexander Graham Bell room, Miner’s Museum room, Celtic room, and the Cabot Trail room for you to stay in before and after you visit these local attractions. The rooms were designed with the assistance of Parks Canada for the Fortress of Louisbourg and Alexander Graham Bell rooms. Parks Canada provided copies of artifacts and pictures for the room. We also worked with the Miners’ Museum to help design the Miner’s room.
While in the city of Sydney, stroll along the Sydney Waterfront and get your photo taken next to the world’s largest fiddle – you can’t miss it! Plan a day trip to the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, North America’s largest reconstructed fortified town, and experience what life was like in the 18th century. Sydney’s Hearthstone Inn offers guests a peaceful night’s sleep in comfortable rooms.
