Friday Night Jazz at Kiju’s with Carl Getto and Matt Nicholson

Membertou

Jan 2 – May 29

About

Carl Getto is one of Cape Breton’s most prominent jazz piano players. Carl plays in a style that has been described as elegant, smooth, and romantic, ideally suited to accompany a pleasant evening of dining featuring tunes from the classic jazz songbooks of Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, George Gershwin and more. Carl is joined by Matthew Nicholson, a saxophonist, singer-songwriter, and producer whose music is laid-back yet emotive. He crosses stylistic boundaries and values simple melody over flashy technique, which allows the depth, character and darker shades of his music to shine through.
