Dicky Finney at the Northern Yacht Club
North Sydney & Sydney Mines Area
About
Dicky Finney is a Little Bras d’Or–based musician from a family where music was a way of life. Performing since his early teens, he built his foundation playing in bands and in front of live audiences from a young age. Finney first made his mark in the 1990s punk scene with Johnny Rocket and the Space Cadets, before expanding his sound later in the decade with The Blues Drivers, where his blues influences and songwriting skills came to the forefront. His development through songwriting circles helped shape a style grounded in strong storytelling and musical authenticity. A multi-instrumentalist, Dicky blends traditional East Coast roots with punk rock, blues, early country, rockabilly, and classic rock ’n’ roll. Equally comfortable in intimate rooms or high-energy venues, he connects easily with audiences of all ages. Dicky is also an engaging host currently running sold-out monthly trivia nights at the Northern Yacht Club. When not performing solo, he fronts Dick Finney and The Underdogs, delivering high-energy shows that keep dance floors full. Drop in to the Northern Yacht Club Friday night for great music, food, and drinks.
