About

Strategically situated only five km from the Canso Causeway and only 10 km from the town of Port Hawkesbury, this four-star accommodation was operated under the name “Capeway Country B&B”  from 2007 to 2016. Over that time, it was one of the highest-rated B&Bs in the area, with a rating of 9.3 out of 10. The property has been upgraded to private self-catering suites in 2017 and now offers two private self-contained suites with kitchenettes, fireplaces, a private deck facing water, Wi-Fi, pool and barbeques. There is one private room in the Inn with ensuite bath and private entrance.
This outstanding property offers something for everyone, it is a hidden gem located at the start of the Ceilidh Trail on Highway 19 in the village of Troy.  The property unfolds in front of your eyes revealing a magnificent view and access to the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail.  Running almost parallel to each other, the Ceilidh Trail and the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail gives our guests access to world-class attractions. The Celtic Shores Coastal Trail is a 92-km multi-purpose trail, stretching from the Canso Causeway to Inverness. A nature lover’s paradise, where one can hike, bike, kayak, and canoe.
If driving the coast is more your style, this is the perfect place to stay. The Ceilidh Trail meanders the west coast of Inverness County. Take in some of the local sights such as, the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre in Judique, Port Hood Beach, Glenora Distillery in Glenville, and the well-known “Red Shoe Pub” Mabou. Continue down the Ceilidh Trail to Inverness where Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs Golf Course is located, a great place to stop for lunch or shopping. Inverness County is world renowned for its live music concerts and local and international music venues. The Celtic Colours International Festival is a world class festival in October of each year, attracting people from all over the world. If you plan on attending this festival, be sure to book early.
Conveniently located close to the Canso Causeway, the only entry to Cape Breton Island, the Celtic Shores Coastal Inn and Suites is a great choice to accommodate your Cape Breton vacation.
