Cape Breton Island’s racing season kicks off at Bud’s Speedway — Sydney’s Showplace of Speed. After a long winter, the engines fire back up as drivers from across the Island compete for early bragging rights and the first points of the year.
Expect door-to-door action across all five divisions: the Klondike Kid Fisheries Street Stocks, Saf-way Auto Parts Mini Stocks, Bendle’s V6 Thunder, Mallard Electric Hobby Stocks and the GWL Trucking & Landscaping Bandoleros. Whether you’re a seasoned race fan or bringing the family out for the first time, the Season Opener sets the tone for an exciting year of local short-track racing right here at home.
