About

Just two minutes outside the beautiful village of Baddeck, known as the beginning and the end of the world-famous Cabot Trail, the Broadwater Inn is an ideal basecamp for exploring Cape Breton by land and sea. Our six suites in the near two-century old inn and nine cottages overlook Baddeck Bay, on the Bras d’Or Lakes and Beinn Bhreagh, the estate of Alexander Graham Bell.
All our rooms feature pillowtop queen or king beds, satellite TV, free WiFi, mini fridges, coffee makers, and private bathrooms. Our cottages and vacation homes include BBQs, private hot tubs, and kitchens.

To ensure our guests experience the very best Cape Breton has to offer our resident innkeeper looks forward to offering tips, directions and stories all in a social, fun, and informative setting.

Looking to get on the water? Book an expedition on kayak, paddle board or one of our two tour boats to experience the waters of the Bras d’Or Lake Biosphere Reserve. The tour focuses on the ecology of the lake, the history and work of Alexander Graham Bell, and a snorkel around a sunken schooner.

Pets are permitted, with restrictions. Visa, and Mastercard are accepted.
