About

The name “The Baddeck Gathering” Ceilidh came from a popular fiddle tune of the same name that was recorded by many Cape Breton musicians including the late Charlie MacCuspic to whose memory the Baddeck Gathering Ceilidh is dedicated. Stephanie MacDonald has been playing fiddle and step dancing her whole life. A long-time member of the Cape Breton Fiddlers’ Association, she regularly performs at square dances, concerts, ceilidhs, weddings and community events. Renowned for her piano talents, Susan MacLean comes from a deeply musical background and plays fiddle and composes tunes. Tickets are on sale at the door between 5 and 7pm. Admission includes tea and locally baked oatcakes. Cash only. Reservations recommended.
