ART MEETS LANGUAGE: A CREATIVE EXCHANGE FOR ARTISTS AND NEWCOMERS
Isle Madame
About
This workshop brings together local artists and newcomers to Canada in a relaxed, creative setting. Working side by side on shared art-making activities, participants exchange language, stories, and cultural perspectives through the universal medium of making. The session is structured around simple, accessible art activities — drawing, collage, and hand-building — designed so that no prior art experience is required and language barriers become a bridge rather than a wall. Participants leave with a finished piece and, more importantly, with new connections across cultures. The workshop is facilitated by members of the Richmond Artists Alliance and is designed to be replicable.
