Singer songwriter Alton MacKinnon blends poetry, music and a lifetime of roller-coaster living to create songs and stories with a message which can cut through to the core and stir the spirit. Alton has a unique and effective way in which he delivers his stories which are not only wide-ranging but also a little “crazy”. As a former member of the Pop Rock duo Easy 13, MacKinnon has had numerous #1 singles on the East Coast Countdown and in the mid 2000’s enjoyed radio play across the Maritimes. In 2011, he teamed up with ECMA winning engineer and producer Mike “Sheppy” Shepherd to record the single “Mr. Wonderful” which was sold to billionaire “Shark” Kevin O’Leary and featured as a promotional video for ABC’s Sharktank and O’Leary’s website. MacKinnon continues to write, record and produce songs that are at times comedic, heartfelt and stirring.
