Celebrate Acadian heritage at the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. Our exciting lineup of activities includes:n. Join the Traditional Acadian Tintamarre Procession before the noon cannon firing. A tintamarre is a lively and noisy Acadian parade that commemorates Acadian heritage and is a way to express pride for the Acadian identity. Free noisemakers will be provided! You can also dive into the rich Acadian connections to Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site with our expert guides on the Acadian History Tour. Meet your Parks Canada Guide at De la Plagne House (yellow house) for this free walking tour! All Acadian Day celebrations are included with general admission fees. Don’t miss out on Acadian Day celebrations!
