Born and raised in Antigonish, Dara Smith-MacDonald has been playing the fiddle for more than 20 years. With family roots in Inverness, she now resides in Port Hawkesbury and is known for her strong, lively playing and traditional style. Dara can often be found on stage with Adam Young, an award-winning and sought-after piano player from Marion Bridge who be found playing concerts, ceilidhs, square dances and sessions throughout Cape Breton, and has showcased his talents across the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, and Australia. Frequent collaborators over the years, the duo has recorded on two albums together.
