About
The Narrows Café & Pub
Set just off the main lobby at Inverary Resort, The Narrows Café & Pub is the kind of place guests naturally find their way to — for a morning coffee, an easy lunch, a relaxed pint, or a lively Cape Breton evening that stretches a little longer than planned.
Open year-round, The Narrows is our comfortable gathering place on Baddeck Bay, where resort guests, locals, golfers, conference delegates, and travellers coming off the Cabot Trail can settle in and feel at home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with the easy rhythm of a true Cape Breton pub — friendly service, familiar faces, good conversation, and the sound of music never far away.
The menu features delicious pub fare with a local spirit, from casual favourites to satisfying plates made for sharing. Whenever possible, we lean into Nova Scotia flavours and local ingredients, bringing the best of the region to the table in a way that feels relaxed, generous, and true to place.
Behind the bar, The Narrows is fully stocked with a thoughtful selection of craft beer, wines, spirits, and classic cocktails, with a focus on local and regional producers wherever we can. Whether you’re after a Cape Breton pint, a glass of wine by the fire, or a cocktail before dinner, it’s an easy place to gather and unwind.
In the prime season, The Narrows comes alive with local music nightly — the kind of music that carries the heartbeat of Cape Breton through the room. In winter, the pace softens but the spirit remains, with live music on weekends and a cozy pub atmosphere that makes the colder months feel warmer.
The Narrows Café & Pub is more than a place to eat and drink. It’s where stories are shared, plans are made, and the salt-of-the-earth hospitality of Cape Breton feels close at hand.
