About
Set along the quiet shores of the Bras d’Or Lake in Baddeck, the Lakeside Restaurant at Inverary Resort offers a relaxed fine dining experience inspired by the flavours and traditions of Cape Breton Island. With panoramic lake views, warm hospitality, and a strong connection to place, Lakeside is where guests gather to enjoy fresh local food, good company, and some of the best waterfront dining in Cape Breton.
Our menus celebrate the region’s rich culinary roots with an emphasis on fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Atlantic salmon, lobster, oysters, mussels, scallops, and seasonal seafood features are paired with thoughtfully prepared dishes that reflect both the coast and countryside of Nova Scotia.
Guests can enjoy curated wines, Nova Scotia craft beers, and locally inspired cocktails in our dining room or out on the Lakeside Patio overlooking the water. Throughout the summer, the patio becomes one of Baddeck’s favourite gathering places, with live Cape Breton music, sunset views, and evenings that carry on under the stars.
A seasonal highlight is our Sip & Shuck patio series — relaxed afternoons featuring fresh oysters, chilled seafood, happy hour specials, handcrafted cocktails, and live local entertainment beside the lake.
Whether you’re joining us for a romantic dinner, a casual evening with friends, or a meal after exploring the Cabot Trail or Bell Bay Golf Club, Lakeside offers an authentic taste of Cape Breton and the easygoing hospitality the island is known for.
