Cape Smokey is excited to announce the 2nd annual collaboration with the Cape Breton Fiddler’s Association for the Smokey Sessions: Ceilidh Last year’s event was a resounding success and we are thrilled to do it all again this year! The fiddlers will ride the gondola to the top of the mountain to play a set of tunes with the beautiful Ingonish Harbour as a backdrop. There will also be a Musical Walk with fiddlers at various locations along a lovely trail and the day will conclude with a free concert including a square set or two! Set against the backdrop of the Cape Breton Highlands, Cape Smokey provides a natural amphitheater with phenomenal sound – you won’t want to miss this very special event. As winter continues, watch as we add more great acts to this concert. This will be the third season for Smokey Sessions and it is exciting to see how it continues to evolve and grow. The 2024 season will be the most ambitious to date, so watch for several more exciting announcements in the coming weeks. *Please note: you will need to bring a blanket or your own chairs (we recommend beach chairs that are low to the ground since you will be sitting on the sloped ski hill). *Kids under 12 are free with a paying adult.
