About
Chamber’s Guest House is situated in the centre of North Sydney, in the Cape Breton Island region of Nova Scotia. Nestled among mature trees, flower beds and stone pathways, the charming home has been in the Chambers family for generations. Step back in time and enjoy the atmosphere of an 1880 Victorian home with antique furnishings, and the gracious hospitality of days gone by.
There are many things to see within driving distance. The headlands and cliffs of Cape Breton Highlands National Park and its 25 hiking trails tower over the rich, natural heritage that is all around. Home to the world-famous Cabot Trail, the land is blessed with spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife and a human history that stretches back to the last Ice Age. Gracefully carved into the side of South Mountain, Dundee Golf Course commands a breathtaking view of the Bras d’Or Lakes. Immerse yourself in history at the Marconi National Historic Site, honouring Marconi’s role in the development of today’s network of global communications, or the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, where models replicas, photo displays, artifacts and films describe the fascinating life and work of the famous inventor.
Our accommodations include four rooms (twin, double and queen-sized beds; one with private deck), with ensuite, private or shared 4-piece bath, cable TV and free Wi-Fi. A generous full breakfast in an elegant dining room is served between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Mingle with guests on the veranda or rest and relax beside the pond. We have ample parking, and we are close to the Newfoundland ferry. Late-night arrivals and early departures welcome.
Cancellation policy: Must cancel 48 hours prior to arrival for a refund of a deposit or to avoid a credit card charge.
