St. Patrick’s Day Dance with The Ceilidhmen
March 13 | Creignish Recreation Center, Judique
Start the celebrations early with a lively St. Patrick’s Day dance on the Ceilidh Trail. The Ceilidhmen bring together talented Cape Breton musicians performing a mix of traditional Celtic, Maritime and contemporary tunes. Wear your best green and hit the dance floor as fiddle, guitar and bodhrán set the rhythm for a night of Island music.

St. Paddy’s Bash
March 14 | Sydney
Kick off the weekend with a St. Paddy’s Bash at Ziggy’s in Sydney. Expect a lively night of music and celebration as locals and visitors gather to mark the occasion with great tunes and plenty of Island spirit.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with The Tom Fun Orchestra &
Bethany June at The Club
March 14 | The Club, Sydney
Looking for a high-energy way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend? Head to The Club in Sydney for an evening with The Tom Fun Orchestra and Bethany June. This show brings together songs shaped by both Ireland and Cape Breton for a fun night of live music in the heart of the Sydney area. The event runs from 8 to 11 p.m. and tickets start at $25 plus fees.

The Real St. Patrick at St. George’s Church
March 15 | St. George’s Church
Historic St. George’s Church in downtown Sydney will host a lively St. Patrick’s Celebration on Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. at 119 Charlotte Street. The afternoon features The Wee Celts, Nonie Thompson, and Eugene Rea, performing traditional Irish songs and blazing instrumental music.

St. Patrick’s Family Concert
March 15 | Iona
Celebrate with a family-friendly afternoon of live music in Iona. Events like this highlight the strong musical traditions that continue to shape life on Cape Breton Island. Join them at St. Barra Church & Christmas Island Communities Centre at 47 Church Road, Christmas Island NS at 2:00 pm. Local Talent! Everyone is welcome! Coffee, tea, and sweets will be served! It’s a welcoming way for visitors and locals to gather, enjoy great music and celebrate the season together.

St. Patrick’s Day at Daniel’s Alehouse
March 17 | Sydney
Daniel’s Alehouse will host a free, family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day celebration in downtown Sydney. Festivities begin at 7 a.m. and continue throughout the day with live music, food and giveaways.
The lineup includes Bethany June Music, Brett Santacona Trio, Coastline, Deron Donovan’s Duo, Duane Nardocchio, Gerry McDaniel, and Keith and Murray. Guests can also enjoy a full Irish breakfast, corned beef and cabbage, Guinness and Harp on tap, and Guinness 0 for anyone heading back to the office.
There will also be prizes throughout the day, including $100 for best costume and a traditional cast iron pot provided by Guinness. Parking is available onsite, with more parking available throughout downtown Sydney after 6 p.m.

St. Patrick’s Day at the Old Triangle Irish Alehouse
March 17 - 18 | Sydney
The Old Triangle Irish Alehouse is one of the Island’s most popular places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Festivities begin in the morning with breakfast and continue throughout the day with live music, giveaways and plenty of Irish cheer. Expect a full day of entertainment starting at 10 am and a lively crowd celebrating together in downtown Sydney.
