58th Annual Mabou Ceilidh Days Festival: Saturday (Mabou)

For more than half a century, Mabou has been buzzing with excitement every July as we host our beloved annual tradition. It’s a time for all ages to come together, enjoy the festivities, and support our community’s vital organizations. So join us this summer for some good old-fashioned fun!


Saturday, June 28

Pancake Breakfast at the Mabou Hall presented in partnership with the Mabou Hall Committee and the South West Mabou 4-H Club.

8-10am | $12

Annual Hugh Arnold Campbell Memorial Road Race at the Mabou Fire Hall. Registration takes place starting at 8am with the race to start at 9am. There will be 10km timed, 5km timed, and 1.2km Fun Run. Presented in partnership with the Campbell family.

Mabou Ceilidh Days Parade This year parade’s theme is I Am Canadian, the Parade Marshall is Order of Canada recipient Heather Rankin, and the 2025 Ceilidh Couple is Stanley and Margie Beaton. Prizes are available for best community float, best theme, best small business and best large business. Kids are encouraged to get involved! Decorate your bike and enter or get dressed up and walk the route from the Mabou Hall to the Mabou Arena. Those under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Big Picnic at Mabou Arena Grounds featuring live music with Aaron MacDonald + Beer Tent + Old School Games + Bouncy Castles + Face Painting + Crown & Anchor + Chocolate Wheel + Human Slot Machine + BBQ in partnership with the Mabou Volunteer Fire Department + Cotton Candy, Snow Cones, & Popcorn.

1-3pm

42nd Annual Luathadh Mòr Mhàbu [Mabou Milling Frolic] at An Drochaid [The Bridge Museum]. Admission is by donation and tea will be served. Presented in partnership with the Mabou Gaelic & Historical Society.

2pm

KitchenFest! with John Pellerin, Bonny Jean MacDonald, Hilda Chiasson, and Mary Beth Carty at the Red Shoe Pub.

7:30-10:30pm | $15 | 19+

Sunset Yoga on the Beach with Jenny MacKenzie at West Mabou Beach. Register via email at [email protected].

8pm | $10

Family Square Dance with Ian MacDougall, Kolten MacDonell, Allan Dewar, & Derrick Cameron at West Mabou Hall.

9pm-12am | $15

Outdoor Pub Night with Beech Hill + Kenneth MacKenzie & Iain MacQuarrie at the Mabou Arena Outdoor Stage. Bar and food services available, cash only.  Presented in partnership with the Mabou Arena.

10pm-2am | $20  |19+
