About

Explore the dramatic Northern Cape Breton coastline on this 2-night, tiny home getaway with guided sea kayak or hiking tour, plus unlimited rentals.

Relax shoreside in your cozy eco-friendly tiny home. Stroll the nearby barrier beach and watch the stars rise over South Harbour. The next day, join Cabot Trail Adventures on a guided, half-day sea kayak or hiking tour of the dramatic Northern Cape Breton coastline. Leaving from your accommodations, head out by sea kayak (offered in midsummer) to explore marshy coves, a barrier beach, and open ocean waters. For visits in spring and fall, you’ll explore the coast by land on a private, guided hiking tour along a mountain plateau OR explore a beautiful wind-swept headland with views of the surrounding cliffs and coastline. After your day of adventure, float harbour side on paddle boards or lounge on your shoreside patio.
Package Includes:
  • 2-night stay at Wavecrest, a waterside tiny home with queen bed, kitchenette, bathroom, and shoreside patio.
  • Half day guided sea kayak or hiking tour, depending on season and weather conditions with Cabot Trail Adventures
    • Kayaking Tour (offered midsummer): Paddle past gypsum cliffs and explore a saltwater marsh and barrier beach. The tour stops midway for a break on the beach with local oatcakes.

    • Hiking Tour (offered Spring and Fall): Explore the Kauzmann Trail along a mountain plateau with 360-degree views of the ocean OR White Point Lookoff, a dramatic headland with views of the surrounding cliffs and coastline. The tour includes shuttle transportation to the trailhead and a trail snack of local oatcakes.
  • Complimentary use of onsite kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes
