Kick-off Celtic Colours early with a talk by well-known fiddler, Stan Chapman. For more than fifty years, Stan Chapman has been a household name in the world of Cape Breton fiddling. A well-respected fiddler and music teacher, he has travelled widely and taught some of the best-known exponents of the local tradition today, including Ashley MacIsaac and Natalie MacMaster. In this talk, Chapman will reflect on his life in music and share his insights on the continued evolution of the local fiddling style. Admission is free and a tea will be served. Ur beatha Baile nan Gàidheal.
