Awaken. Explore. Discover.
Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort is a Wellness and Wilderness retreat centre located along the serene landscape of the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Open year round, Cabot Shores offers a mixture of outdoor adventure, interesting and relaxing accommodations and health services. We are also pet-friendly!
Enjoy your time staying with us in Whiff’s Lodge, a Mongolian or Cedar–style yurt, or one of our chalets big enough for the whole family. We also have Atlantic glamping domes and a tree-house style Luna Dome sheltered by clusters of trees in our orchard. Camping available facing the river as well as bordering the calm waters of the Indian Brook.
A variety of hot tubs including soft tubs (2-5 people), Japanese Ofuro cedar tubs (2-3 people), and larger hot tubs (4-6 people), are located throughout the wilderness resort property.
For larger gatherings of family and friends, ask about the Breton Cove Farm House located 12 km away from Cabot Shores. Our Bistro is also open year round and serves a fresh variety of seafood, grilled meats, soups and chowders, plus vegan and vegetarian options as well.
Adventures from Mild to Wild:
If you’re passionate about the outdoors, Cabot Shores is the place for you. Kayak, canoe, hike and snowshoe on-site and enjoy the beauty of both the freshwater Indian Brook and the ocean beyond. Take yourself across on the Eagle Feather Ferry to our beach, explore nearby trails or join us for guided hikes, puffin and whale excursions, waterfalls and more!
Gate of Life Healing Arts:
Cabot Shores offers services such as Acupuncture, Qi Gong, Japanese soaking tubs and an Infrared Sauna on-site. We also offer yoga and massage occasionally. We are happy to provide an initial guide to meditation and the use of our cedar meditation house. Stay in touch via our newsletter to be notified of our yoga and meditation retreats.
