The CBRM Annual Scavenger Hunt is getting a serious upgrade in 2027.
This year, we’re taking the hunt off the screen and into the real world.
Teams of 1–6 players will compete to physically locate hidden prize targets across two designated search zones:
📍 ZONE A — SYDNEY WATERFRONT
20 hidden targets
📍 ZONE B — HEART OF NORTH SYDNEY
20 hidden targets
⚫ BLACKSITE — FINAL TARGET
1 major hidden target
41 PHYSICAL TARGETS. ONE SIMPLE OBJECTIVE
🎯 HOW IT WORKS
Every target has a unique number, QR code, prize, GPS location, search radius and difficulty level.
You’ll receive a general search area, not the exact hiding spot.
Then the hunt begins.
Search. Investigate. Explore. Find the target. Scan the QR code. Verify your recovery.
ONE VERIFIED TARGET = ONE FIND.
That’s it.
No bonus points.
No double points.
No distance bonuses.
No difficulty bonuses.
The team with the most verified finds at the end of the event becomes the:

🟢 TARGET DIFFICULTY
Not every target will be easy.
🟢 EASY — approximately 50 ft search radius
🟡 MEDIUM — approximately 100 ft
🔴 HARD — approximately 200 ft
⚫ BLACKSITE — approximately 500 ft
The harder the target, the harder it is to locate.
But remember:
Every target is still worth ONE FIND.
⚫ THE BLACKSITE
Once the regular hunt reaches its final stage, the BLACKSITE is activated.
One final target.
One massive search area.
One major prize.
Teams will receive a 500-foot search radius, a primary clue and potentially a difficult close-up photograph of the hiding area.
There may even be a military-style CARE PACKAGE containing the intelligence marked with a smoke grenade needed to begin the final search.
And when the Blacksite is finally recovered..
Expect the air horn. 📢

📡 LIVE OPERATIONS
Throughout the hunt, recovered targets will be announced and the LIVE LEADERBOARD will keep teams updated.
As targets disappear, the remaining hunt gets harder.

How many can your team recover before they’re gone?
🛡️ PLAY FAIR. PLAY SMART.
This is a physical search-and-recovery competition, but safety comes first.
No target will require trespassing, entering dangerous areas, entering the water, entering restricted property, crossing unsafe areas, damaging property or putting yourself or anyone else in danger.
If it’s unsafe, don’t go there.
The objective is to find prizes — not get hurt doing it.
