Welcome to Ridge on the Chimney, a private coastal retreat near the Cabot Trail featuring four architect-designed luxury cottages set above the Atlantic coastline. Designed by renowned architects MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple, the cottages—Spruce, Juniper, Cedar, and Birch—blend traditional coastal architecture with refined modern detailing.
Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, family vacation, celebration, or group retreat, you can book a single cottage, multiple cottages, or the entire property for up to 16 guests.
Spruce & Juniper (One-Bedroom Cottages)
Each cottage accommodates up to 2 guests and offers single-level living, ideal for couples or guests who prefer no stairs. The open-concept kitchen and living area features a wood stove, 55” Samsung Frame TV, and motorized blinds. Each has a ground-floor master bedroom with a queen bed.
Juniper is fully accessible, with ramps, wide doors, and a specialized spa bath. Guest living areas are entirely on the ground floor; mechanical ladders provide storage access only.
Cedar & Birch (Two-Bedroom Cottages)
Each accommodates up to 6 guests. The main floor includes a full kitchen, living room with wood stove, 50” Samsung Frame TV, motorized blinds, and a king-bed master bedroom.
The second floor features a second king bedroom, twin-XL bunks, dedicated workspace, and private balcony. The basement includes a washer/dryer, beach chairs, umbrella and toys, Giant Jenga, and a boot dryer.

Step outside to uninterrupted coastal scenery and fresh Atlantic air.

• On-site EV charger (fee applies) 
• Shared outdoor kitchen with large BBQ, wood fire bowl, and propane fire bowl 
• Sauna Seasonal Availabillity: Beach stairs, outdoor showers, and gas BBQ are unavailable October 15–May 15. Guest Access & Privacy Guests have exclusive, private access to the entire property, with 24/7 self check-in via secure lockbox. Security cameras are located only in public access areas and do not view private cottage spaces. Important Rules 
• Rental agreement must be signed within 72 hours of reservation or booking may be cancelled. 
• Check-in: 4 PM–11 PM. Check-out: before 10 AM. 
• Dogs welcome for a fee; no cats or puppies under 12 months. 
• Quiet hours: 11 PM–7 AM. • No smoking or vaping inside cottages. 
• Do not climb, push, or hang from structures or cliff edges. 
• Hot tub covers must be replaced and latches secured after every use.
