Louisbourg & Area

About

Working in collaboration with the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, the Fortress of Louisbourg Association works with Parks Canada in ways that ensure the commemorative and ecological integrity of the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site is sustained for present and future generations.  Founded in 1976, our three period restaurants, bakery, coffee shop, and two gift boutiques help visitors understand, appreciate and enjoy the largest reconstructed 18th century French fortified town in North America.  After hours tours, archaeology programs, and theatre are only a few of the many experiences offered through the FLA! The revenue the Association generates is used to support the Children’s Animation Program, Public Archaeology, Wine Pairing meals, and a variety of other visitor experiences and services.

Visitors with special needs are encouraged to call 902-733-3552 for information.
