Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day at Cape Breton Highlands National Park!
Join Mi’kmaw Elder Lawrence Wells, along with Graham Marshall and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park Interpretive Team to recognize and celebrate L’nu traditions, culture, and contributions in Unama’ki. In the morning, Elder Lawrence Wells will build a teepee at Chéticamp Visitor Centre. In the afternoon there will be a smudging ceremony, flag raising, drumming, singing, dancing, and storytelling. Coffee, Tea, “4 Cent Cake” will also be available.
