Join us as we celebrate the Donald Og legend and the settlement of the Iona area by MacNeils from the Isle of Barra. On board a British man of war patrolling the Bras d’Or Lake following the 1758 Seige of Louisbourg, Domhnall Og MacNeil brought news of the lake’s natural wonders home to his native Isle of Barra. Traditional food, natural dye, barvas ware and other demonstrations will take place throughout the day, along with a special running of Cash’s Carding Mill and a céilidh. We will also be joined by our friends from Eskasoni Cultural Journey and the Fortress of Louisbourg.
Regular admission applies.
10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
