Dan McCarthy is a busy entertainer around Cape Breton Island. The singer, songwriter, and guitar player—who splits his time between Glace Bay and Middle River—has been playing as a lead guitarist for many bands since the age of 14, most notably Spyder and Evolution. His vast repertoire of current, popular songs and old favourites, combined with his mastery of guitar, keeps him in demand as a solo artist, in duos, and a number of local bands, including his new group Sonic Highway.
