Ella Dubinsky and friends at Cabot Shores

St. Ann's Bay & North Shore

Jul 17 – Aug 28

About

Every Thursday evening, singer-songwriter Ella Dubinsky hosts an intimate night of live music at Cabot Shores, curating a rotating lineup of incredible artists from across Cape Breton Island. Each week brings a fresh performance—whether it’s rich harmonies, fiddle-fueled reels, or honest acoustic storytelling, no two nights are ever the same. Ella Dubinsky is a Cape Breton singer-songwriter whose songs weave together a unique blend of genres and poignant lyrics, exploring love, loss, and life in rural Cape Breton. She learned to craft songs at the piano with her father, Leon Dubinsky, and now performs regularly around the island, often joined by her mother, Beth MacCormick. Ella also leads the St. Ann’s Bay Community Choir and is currently recording her debut studio album, set for release in fall 2025. Her music is grounded, heartfelt, and deeply rooted in the place she calls home. Come for a locally inspired three-course meal (5:30–7:30pm), stay for an unforgettable performance and stick around after the show for a cozy fireside jam (9:30-10pm)—musicians and listeners alike are welcome.
