The Barn Music and Theatre Society of Margaree will be holding their annual Fiddle and Folk Foliage Farewell, a weekend-long, all-ages music festival taking place October 23–25 in the beautiful Margaree Valley.
October 23 - Neil McDaniel & Kevin LeVesconte
Neil McDaniel originates from Margaree Forks who has entertained audiences from the Maritimes to the Ottawa Valley and across the Atlantic to the West Coast of Ireland. McDaniel holds true to his Irish heritage which is evident in his singing and performances on mandolin, guitar, banjo, whistles, and piano. His lively shows encompass a well-flavoured recipe of music, headlining as a solo artist or with a band and always ready to bring on the tradition. Kevin LeVesconte is a fiddler and pianist from St. Peters who has been immersed in Cape Breton’s rich traditional music and culture his whole life. From kitchen parties to dance hall performances, LeVesconte’s dedication and abundant musicality has quickly captured the hearts and ears of listeners from near and far.

October 24 - Howie MacDonald & Beverley MacLean
Howie MacDonald is a well-respected fiddler who has composed dozens of tunes and, although best known as a fiddler, he is a superb pianist whether chording for fiddlers or performing piano solos. Beverly MacLean, from Southside Boularderie, is a Cape Breton fiddler and piano player who has performed regularly in KitchenFest!, Celtic Colours International Festival, at the Baddeck Ceilidh Gatherings and Louisbourg Playhouse as well as internationally.

October 25 - John Francis MacNeil
Mabou guitarist, vocalist, and harmonica player John Francis MacNeil plays folk, blues, Celtic, Cape Breton and more. He has performed at the Red Shoe Pub and plays twice weekly at the Glenora Distillery.
