About

Danielle MacDonald, best known as the sweet, soulful voice and creative force behind award-winning Americana duo Hearts of Kin, is stepping into her own as a solo artist. With Hearts of Kin, she independently produced their debut album, which earned Music Nova Scotia’s Country Recording of the Year (2024), and has performed on major stages including Cavendish Beach Music Festival and the Stan Rogers Folk Festival, sharing bills with artists like Serena Ryder. Beyond the band, Danielle has performed in Nashville at iconic venues such as The Bluebird Café and Bellcourt Taps, while also inspiring young musicians as a teacher at Robertson School of Music. Her solo work carries the same heartfelt storytelling and Americana charm that have defined her career, now with an even more personal touch. Daniels Alehouse and Eatery has local live music to listen to every afternoon there is a cruise ship in town! Come down and enjoy our daily lunch specials and local music all September long!
