There is no better way to spend an afternoon than hanging out with good friends and listening to great music. So don’t miss Art Bouman, Harrison Stewart, and Cassie Josephine at Island Folk on Saturday afternoon during Gobblefest. To reserve a spot at Island Folk Cider House email [email protected]. Introduced during the Thanksgiving season of 1994, Gobblefest was a one-off day of music featuring local bands from the Sydney area, conceived to raise funds for the campus and community radio station, Caper Radio CJBU (previously known as CAPR). In 1999, Gobblefest expanded from a one-day event to a three-day festival, showcasing a wide variety of alternative music across a variety of venues. Now the longest running alt music festival in Nova Scotia, Gobblefest continues as an integral component of the local music scene.
