Pioneer Shrine – Annual Feast Day Celebration
Mabou & Area
About
Visit Mabou’s charming Mother of Sorrows Pioneer Shrine and celebrate the Annual Feast Day dedicated to the pioneers of the Mabou area, held each year on the second Sunday in September. Mother of Sorrows Pioneer Shrine sits on the outskirts of Mabou and provides a peaceful stop for visitors. This religious shrine is located in a miniature church that is dedicated to the pioneers of the Mabou area. Each year on the second Sunday in September the shrine hosts an Annual Feast Day celebration that involves a series of events at the shrine itself, followed by Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Mabou and refreshments at the nearby Mabou Community Hall.
