Whale Cove Summer Village, located in Margaree Harbour on beautiful Cape Breton Island, has provided vacation cottages to families from all over the world. Dreamy but down to earth, Whale Cove’s cottages feel miles away, but are located just minutes from the world-famous Cabot Trail. Protected by coastal forests, you can enjoy our picturesque summer playground in a park-like setting which gently falls away to meet the fine sand of our crescent beach, and the sparkling clear waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Our very private and special little village is comprised of 30 rustic yet immaculate seaside cottages ideal for families and groups.
Our Village is a natural and convenient place for you to stay while you enjoy several different and refreshing day trips to all the scenic wonders and interesting events and activities that Cape Breton has to offer. We are just a 30-minute drive to the Acadian village of Chéticamp, where you will find boutiques, shopping, craft shops, historic sites, whale watching tours, golfing at Le Portage Golf Club, hiking trails and beaches. Enjoy a day trip through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the legendary Cabot Trail.
We offer 30 1- and 2-bedroom housekeeping cottages featuring double beds, a 4-piece bath, cable television, a microwave and pay phone.
