24 Highway 19

902-625-1295

History comes alive in this modern museum overlooking the Strait of Canso: model ship display, local history, early 20th-century lifestyle, railroads, ferries. Displays on the construction of the Canso Causeway and its impact on the people and communities in the area. Materials for genealogical research are available at the museum.

Personalized tours of the museum are offered. Be sure to visit our on-site gift shop that features handmade products by local carpenters and quilters.

Stop by our gazebo and enjoy an ice cream from our ice cream barn on a hot summer day.
