Overview

Governors Pub & Eatery, a superb Cape Breton seafood restaurant renowned for its fresh-from-the-ocean seafood, home-cooked meals and fabulous, friendly service. Located in the historic home of the first mayor of Sydney, Governors is a mixture of old world in a contemporary, vibrant setting, with two outdoor patios overlooking spectacular Sydney Harbour.

Paired up with the menu is great live music. Governors plays host to Atlantic Canada’s most talented traditional Celtic and indie bands. You’ll find a warm and relaxing atmosphere in either the traditional comfort of our lively Celtic Pub upstairs or the ambience of the casual fine dining restaurant located on the first floor, with two outdoor patios overlooking the water and the stunning open fire pits.

Plan your culinary experience at Governors this year. It’s the one place your taste buds will always remember!
